New Shamma Lacing, new possibilities- TrailStars are designed to take on the toughest trails while keeping you comfortably secure. TrailStar Omegas have whole new lacing system, which connects the forefoot and big toe to the sandal like never before. With the Trailstars, you get shoe-level connection to the sole, using our proprietary Forefoot UltraStrap and SoleAnchors. Forefoot UltraStraps and SoleAnchors allow total control over your adjustments, to give you a perfect fit. All this in minimalist sandal that allows for flexibility and natural foot movement.
The TrailStars lacing is made from HP UltraSuede, which is material that is made without leather but that will provide comfort and security all day long!
TrailStar Omegas share the same rugged sole as the Alphas and Mountain Goats only thicker. The main difference between them is the 8mm Vibram Newflex.
You can choose between the UltraGrip or leather footbeds. The UltraGrip footbed is vegan.
Have a wide foot and/or a high arch? Choose'L' straps! Have a narrow foot/low arch? Choose 'S' straps! Have a combination? Choose regular straps!
The L and S size options will allow you to get the same size sole, but with longer or shorter straps to account for wide feet/high arches or narrow feet/low arches. Not sure if you should get a size L or S sandal? Email us at contact@shammasandals.com and we would be happy to help!
Please note- the TrailStars Maximus and TrailStars Maximus LE are currently the thinnest sandals available with the TrailStars Lacing System. We unfortunately cannot put the TrailStars Lacing on soles that are any thinner than the TrailStars Maximus and Maximus LE, due to the lacing being incompatible with thinner soles.

United StatesI decided to try barefoot sandals because I have bunions and wide feet. I’m not a runner so I can’t review how they perform for that. I mostly wanted them for walking my two medium sized dogs. So much better than the flip flops I was wearing and safer. I first bought the Super Browns but I didn’t like getting small pebbles stuck in the footbed and I also have a torn meniscus in my left knee so the 7mm footbed didn’t give enough cushioning on asphalt and sidewalks so they have become my around the house sandals. I have to really hand to those who run in these! I love the extra cushioning on these Trailstar Omegas 15mm footbed and the wide toe box. It took me quite awhile to get the right adjustment on the straps but once I did they fit great. I have wide feet and a decent arch so I purchased the long straps which was perfect. I also like how the toe strap keeps my big toe from overlapping on the second toe. One thing I’ve noticed since wearing barefoot sandals or going barefoot as much as possible is that my calf muscles have stretched! Good experience overall!
United StatesOrdered Long straps. Got one shoe with long straps and one with short, and the shoes were a half size smaller than what I ordered. The shoes themselves seem decent. I like the thicker footbed, and the overall look. Wasn't a great fit for me. Still waiting to hear from returns and hoping they pay return shipping since I didn't get what I ordered
