Numa Alphas

The Numa Mountain Goats have been renamed to the Numa Alphas! The name has been updated to be more consistent with our other sandals. The product has not changed, so you are still getting the same great sandals as before!

Numa Laces provide extra length to accommodate all foot sizes. Please trim excess material after sizing the sandals to your feet.

*All Numa Sandals are non-returnable/non-exchangeable after laces have been trimmed*

Numa Alphas

With a thicker zero-drop sole and wide toe box, the Numa Alphas are the best place to start if you want the convenience and benefits of minimalist sandals with the same level of protection that you get from a traditional shoe or sandal. Step into adventure with Numa Alphas.

Sole

Alpha soles are composed of 5mm Vibram Newflex and 6mm Vibram® Morflex. This creates a sole that provides excellent protection for your feet while still being light and responsive. The aggressive tread of the Vibram® Newflex makes navigating rough terrain and trails a breeze while the Vibram® Morflex gives you a firm yet cushioned place to rest your feet. Alphas have a 12mm total stack height. Choose the UltraGrip footbed for use in the harshest elements. For more comfort in drier conditions select Cognac Leather.

Numa Lacing System

Numa uses a hands-free slip-on lacing system that stretches with your feet as they move. The result is our most comfortable, seamless, and easy-to-use lacing system yet. The secret is our custom ¾” elastic forefoot section. This innovation gives the lacing system the ability to stretch where you need it most: over the arch and middle of the foot, creating a seamless connection between your foot and the sandal. Added benefits of this system include a self-adjusting toe plug buckle and forefoot strap that is custom-cut. This allows all our Numa Sandals to rival flip-flops in terms of comfort without sacrificing convenience. This system uses our innovative and flexible heel posts to keep the heel strap in an optimal position, and these laces are made using Ultrasuede for the highest level of comfort available. Comfort, connection, and convenience are waiting for you with the Numa lacing system!

Recraftable

Just because you wore a hole in your sandals, it doesn’t mean you have to throw them away! Our modular approach to sandal-making means that worn out parts can be replaced with a pair of pliers at home. Why throw away what you can repair? Visit our Parts Page to learn more!

Awesome pair of sandals

Since receiving my pair of Numa Alphas several weeks ago, I've worn them for long walks on trails and pavement. They're easy to slip on and off but still feel secure on my feet in most conditions, except for mud. The traction of the Alpha sole is fantastic while still providing great ground feel, and I like the texture of the Ultragrip footbed. I would buy them again if anything happened to them, but I don't think I'll have to with how durable they feel!
