TrailStar Lacing System

On trails or sidewalks, in sun or rain, these sandals are comfortable, good-looking and long lasting. I reach for them almost everytime I go out.

Let me just start by saying that the Shamma Sandals Team was great to work with. There was an error with my shoe order and they went above and beyond to make things right. Now, I've only worn the sandals a few times at this point, but the fit is spot on. I love the material of the straps -- almost leather-like but softer. The fit in front of the toes is great (I used their chart to pick a close fit with less space above the toes and I really appreciate that). I love that all of the straps can be adjusted so nicely. I kind of wish I had purchased the leather sole as I think it would have elevated the look a bit, but that just means I might need to purchase another pair. Thanks, Shamma!

I'm not one to hit the trails in sandals so I got these for summer walking around and they are perfect. While very functional, they also look great.

I got these to replace my Tevas since I find the arch on the Tevas annoying. While the sole isn't as as soft and cushiony as the Tevas, in every other way the Trailstars are are superior - esp in looks. When looking down at my Tevas, I used to think, "well they're not totally ugly." When looking down at my Trailstars, I think "these are super cute!!"

I got the thicker sole because I like a little bit of separation from the ground when wearing sandals and, not surprisingly, you do lose some ground feel and flexibility in the sole, which was what I expected. The straps are soft right out of the gate, no rubbing and no need to wear the sandals in. I like the rear entry. It took some experimentation and a little fiddling to get the straps fitted how I liked. It's easy enough to pop out the sole anchors and adjust the straps but if you adjust the toe loop (which took me the longest to find the fit I wanted) you have to then adjust the length of the strap for the subsequent anchors. I do like how the design allows you to adjust the fit across all anchor points

I've gone for a looser fit, but my feet still feel very secure.

Definitely recommend them, esp if you're looking for a sandal that can dress up.

I absolutely love these sandals! This was my first time purchasing Shamma sandals. I specifically purchased the Tan/Leather/Maximus Trailstar style in hopes they would be comfortable for long walks or running around town as well as being able to dress up or down with them. They met every expectation!
I purchased the Maximus Trailstar first to give this brand a try and they have worked out so well I just ordered a second pair (Ibex/Ultra grip) specifically for hiking. I haven’t received those yet to say if they fit the bill for what I need.

Size 7 is what I ordered in the Maximus Trailstar and they fit perfectly. Oh and definitely use the printable sizing templates because if I had just ordered my regular size (size 8) they would’ve been way too large. I did send a couple of emails to the customer service team with questions about the sandals and the sizing. With that feedback I felt comfortable ordering the size 7 in the Trailstar.

Just got my new Shammas! The website sizing was spot on. Size 5 -I have a narrow heel, low to med volume foot ~23cm

I love them! They were super easy to adjust esp compared to my earth runners (which I adore.) The Maximus is a tiny bit thicker than my ER. The straps are sooooo soft and I love the leather foot bed too.
