Sole

Super Browns use a brown 6mm Vibram® Morflex sole with a matching 1mm German aniline leather footbed. A blend of rubber and EVA, the Morflex compound is known for being lightweight, with a firm but cushioned feel. Morflex is also known for a quick break-in time, molding to your feet quickly. The Super Brown sole excels on concrete and asphalt while still maintaining a thin profile. These soles make daily wear easy and comfortable.

Super Lacing System

The Super Lacing system is an all-leather version of our venerable 4th Generation Shamma Lacing System. This system is packed with features that give you everything you need to get the right fit. Our original Shamma buckle allows for fine-tuning of the toe strap and insole strap. The leather insole keeps the heel strap in an optimal position. Velcro® on the insole and heel straps allow for quick and secure adjustments. The Super Lacing System gives you comfort, durability and style that only leather can provide.

Recraftable

Just because you wore a hole in your sandals, it doesn’t mean you have to throw them away! Our modular approach to sandal-making means that worn out parts can be replaced with a pair of pliers at home. Why throw away what you can repair? Visit our parts page to learn more!

Even the first time I put on these sandals before I had a chance to break them in they were already very comfortable. The leather feels great and the two strap system feels very secure, especially considering the straps are attached to a thin sole that bends and moves with your foot so much. I've only walked about seven miles in these sandals (give or take) but I am a loving them so far. This is my first minimalist, zero drop sandal so I don't have much to compare it to in terms of similar foot wear but I love the bare foot feel. The only thing that isn't perfect in my opinion is one spot on the strap system is rubbing and irritating a spot on the top of my foot but I'm pretty sure I just had it too tight and need to adjust it more for a better fit. Actually one of my favorite pieces of foot wear I've ever purchased, great sandals!

Custom comfort

I have narrow feet and needed a custom sole. Shamma delivered in every way! My first purchase was the Cruzers and I needed to trim these myself to fit properly. With my Super Browns I invested in the professional custom sole Shamma offer. This was well worth the time and effort using the provided foot template, and overlaying with preferred narrower custom foot shape.

The final Super Brown product is amazing. The fit and soft footbed is wonderful. They will be used as my more formal pair of sandals, with the Cruzers being my everyday choice.

The wait time and other expenses to get these to the UK was expensive but quality footwear that's hand made with such care and attention can't be beaten. Great customer experience and the end product is first class. Well done Shamma.

Great color and comfort.

The best sandals that I ever had, I wear sandals every day because my feet is wide and I got a low arch. It’s very hard for me to wear shoes. My feet don’t slip inside the sandal. That’s a good thing and the quality is there. I’ll be buying some more sandals.
