TrailStars Alpha

New Shamma Lacing, new possibilities- TrailStars are designed to take on the toughest trails while keeping you comfortably secure. TrailStar Alphas have whole new lacing system, which connects the forefoot and big toe to the sandal like never before. With the Trailstars, you get shoe-level connection to the sole, using our proprietary Forefoot UltraStrap and SoleAnchors. Forefoot UltraStraps and SoleAnchors allow total control over your adjustments, to give you a perfect fit.  All this in minimalist sandal that allows for flexibility and natural foot movement.

The TrailStars lacing is made from HP UltraSuede, which is material that is made without leather but that will provide comfort and security all day long!

TrailStar Alphas share the same rugged sole as the Mountain Goats.

You can choose between the UltraGrip or leather footbeds. The UltraGrip footbed is vegan.

Have a wide foot or high arch? We have long and short strap options available! You can order those options HERE

Looking for Longer/Shorter Straps for your TrailStars? Click HERE! Not sure if you need longer or shorter straps? Please email us at contact@shammasandals.com and we are happy to help!

Please note- the TrailStars Maximus and TrailStars Maximus LE are currently the thinnest sandals available with the TrailStars Lacing System. We unfortunately cannot put the TrailStars Lacing on soles that are any thinner than the TrailStars Maximus and Maximus LE, due to the lacing being incompatible with thinner soles.

    Worth every penny

I have been wearing these for about two months now and have been loving them. They are highly adjustable, easy to adjust, and the straps are comfy around the big toe, back of ankle, and overall foot. No issues when wearing them in rivers/water. They dry fairly quickly and are easy to clean so they look brand new. Not the best traction for extremely sandy uphills and downhills but they are very comfortable in most hiking and day to day situations.

    Excellent quality

Great customer service. The size 6.5 struck me as pretty narrow, but the length was right so I went with it. I've never needed wide sizes before, but I needed to get 2 3/4" longer replacement straps. My sandals will need breaking in, but I think I will love them.

Where have these been all my life!?

I'm absolutely in love with my Alpha Trail Stars. I wear a womens size 11.5 but my feet are pretty narrow and thin/low profile. I've been wearing chacos for years b/c I didn't think there was much else. Until I found these Shammas in a size 10 (standard length) in these Trail Stars. Maybe the short would be good, perhaps that's next. The Trail Stars are so customizable and they STAY PUT! No more slipping, pinching, or adjusting while hiking or climbing, they are lightweight yet highly durable, they don't catch on things when I'm walking around (like Tevas). When not covered in dust or debris, they can be dressed up. Or at least to my standards of a nice blouse and jeans kind of dressed up. I LOVE THEM!
