I ordered my shoes on August 12th. By the 27th I hadn't received the shoes or any emails saying the shoes shipped, so I sent an email through the link in the confirmation email asking about them. Emily emailed back saying she'd look into it. I got a tracking email which showed they never shipped, but was able to see they now had an expected delivery date of the 3rd.
I got the shoes on the 3rd, but one of the power sleeves was never sewn on the one side so I can't use it or wear the shoes. I emailed Emily back that day and she said one would be sent out, but it is now September 11th and I still haven't received it and my account shows it's a confirmed order but doesn't show it was ever shipped yet. I emailed Emily again yesterday seeing if she could look into it, but have not received any answer back. I still can't finish assembling my shoes to try them.
I only ordered from you instead of purchasing a pair of Earth Runners because you offer replacements for all of the peices, but if it's this difficult to get anything shipped it's not worth it. I understand things happen and didn't mind It took a follow up in order to get my shoes shipped. Mistakes happen, so when the power sleeve wasn't finished and usable, it was weird to have a 2nd issue, but whatever. But now I have no idea what's going on with the replacement sleeve and am wondering why every step has been difficult.
In addition, I almost didn't get the shoes because I couldn't find replacement straps for the shoe on the site. My boyfriend, who was pleased with his Shammas, emailed to ask about them and he was told they are available to order through request, but not listed on the site because they are more difficult to assemble. But you have to assemble them anyway when you purchase the shoe, so that doesn't make sense.
My mom bought me a pair of Cruzers for my birthday, and I like them a lot. It was fun lacing them myself, though it took a little while to figure out how to adjust them just right. The video tutorial on the website was really helpful. I was able to adjust them just right, and they are very comfortable. I noticed they seem to loosen a bit with use, so I have to tighten the heel strap a little bit every once in a while.
This is my second pair, love them! My only issue is having to assemble them myself. The card sent with the sandals is impossible to read and the youtube video option goes so fast I had to reply it so many times to be able to do the straps correctly.
I’ve been wearing my Cruzers for over a year now during non-frigid months in the Midwest and they are my absolute favorites. My feet are so happy in them. Yes, sometimes the straps shift and they need incremental adjusting, but overall, I just slip them on and go. I have also used them for occasional runs and again, my feet are SO happy. I have very wide feet with a normal heel, so it’s always hard to find a footbed that is wide enough, and shoes that don’t make me feel self-conscious about my feet. I love these sandals!
Have gone on a couple runs and a hike now and I am definitely a fan of wearing sandals. They seem to be breaking in and getting even better.
They are my first pair of barefoot sandals and I am impressed that though it is not very many components (strap+sole), the components used feel like they are very high quality.
I got the Cruzer with a maximus sole and am happy with that decision.
