TrailStar Laces provide extra length to accommodate all foot sizes. Please trim excess material after sizing the sandals to your feet.
*All TrailStar Sandals are non-returnable/non-exchangeable after laces have been trimmed*
Our thickest and most protective sandal, TrailStar Omegas are designed to give you the most protection for the toughest trails. The thicker sole of the Omegas bridges the gap and creates consistency with every step. These adventure sandals excel under heavy load and are perfect for backpacking and rigorous terrain. When absolute control and stability is required, the TrailStar Omegas are always up to the task.
TrailStar Omega soles are made from a composition of 8mm Vibram® Newflex and 6mm Vibram Morflex. Omega is our thickest and most protective sole. This creates a sole that provides excellent protection for your feet while still being light and responsive. The aggressive tread of the Vibram Newflex makes navigating rough terrain and trails a breeze while the Vibram Morflex gives you a firm yet cushioned place for your feet to rest. Choose between UltraGrip or Cognac Aniline Cowhide Leather footbed for a 15mm total stack height.
Increased security from over-the-foot style lacing is the hallmark of TrailStars. The TrailStar Lacing system features a specially made forefoot strap made from Toray® Ultrasuede and a nylon mesh. The result is an extremely comfortable material with the strength properties of webbing. The forefoot strap is completely adjustable and anchored through the bottom of the sole. Final adjustments are made through a tension lock on the outer heel post. All forefoot straps are cut to fit after adjustment. The heel section of the lacing system employs two heel posts covered in Ultrasuede for comfort. Heel strap adjustments are locked into place using Velcro®. The result is an extremely comfortable and secure lacing system that is ready for adventure!

I’m on my 5th pair of Shamma sandals in 3 years. I walk an average of 8.5 miles/day and my feet have never felt better! Haven’t worn a sneaker in 3 years. Absolutely amazing!
I have been wearing my TrailStar Omegas for a little over a month. I find them to be very comfortable and overall I am very happy with this purchase. I am noticing a bit of wear to the heel area of my shoes and I am slightly concerned about that. Obviously that is in relation to my gate, but I feel I’m going to need to do something to prevent this from shortening my sandal’s lifespan. I am very happy that I went with the thicker sole because I do appreciate the extra padding for long walks on hard surfaces. I know that many prefer the thin souls but if you have any issues with your feet (in my case hammer toes that put stress on the ball of my foot) then you will appreciate that extra amount of cushion. I would also recommend that you size down in the sandals. Basically, I think they fit best if your feet fit the template with about a quarter inch leeway in the front and the back. One last recommendation that I would have is to order these sandals off season because, Shamma is not very fast to manufacture or ship. If you order them a month before you actually need them, you will avoid potentially being without your sandals during the optimum summer months. I do hope in the future that Shana will offer these in a few different colors. It would also be wonderful if they could create a leather version of these.
The service was great. First, I ordered the wrong size, and the new sandals couldn’t be delivered in time for my journey to the US. However, after contacting customer service, the sandals were sent to the first hotel we stayed at in San Francisco. After arrival at the hotel, I received the sandals from the front desk. I adjusted the sandals to fit my feet and took a walk—great! I wore them throughout our 3-week journey across the US: in the Narrows of Zion, on gravel grounds, rocks, and in cities. I simply love them. And you can even look dressed up wearing them with a skirt! ;-)
I am new to the barefoot movement, so I don’t run or hike, but these sandals have been life-changing for me! I suffered from knee pain from an old ski injury. I have done everything (orthotics, acupuncture, physical therapy, water therapy) except for surgery. A month ago, I was using a cane to walk because I couldn’t otherwise. I started with a pair from a competitive company, which is also nice since I noticed an improvement in just one short week. I purchased the TrailStar Omegas because they have the same thickness as my first pair, but this one has a beautiful leather insole, and the design is quite attractive. I can tell they put their heart and soul into making these exceptionally well. I’m in my 60s, and watching Josh’s videos online motivates me to exercise and take better care of myself.
Because of the thickness of the soles, I thought the sandals would have a lot more cushioning. They seem very hard to me. The heal straps seem to sit too low on my heals. (I have high heals) If I hadn't cut the straps I would have considered returning the sandals.
