Yard Sale - Elite Warriors

Off the bat, I’m thrilled with the service and the sandals I bought. Unlike in the past, I decided to go for the yard sale and crossed my fingers. To my delight, the pair I received was practically new and far exceeded my expectations. The toe strap is different and longer than on my older pair, but I can easily adjust it with a pair of scissors and a lighter. Until next time!

These Yard Sale warriors were brand new out of the pack, so I presume they are factory seconds. I bought them for running on mixed terrain. I like the barefoot feel and wanted a thinner sole with more traction and adjustable straps to get a precise fit without having to remove the sandals. (I already have a pair of Cruisers.) The sole length is shorter in this pair despite ordering the same size. Could it be because they’re yard sale The ankle style is a snug fit. I have narrow feet and was able to adjust the straps to not rub my ankle bones. I don’t use Power Straps. The straps are stiffer than the Cruisers because of the velcro yet they’re comfortable. However the toe plugs hurt as my weight is right on top of them. It is painful to run or walk on hard flat ground. It is the same plug used in the Cruisers, yet for those they work well as they’re flush with the sole. On the Warriors the plugs protrude a lot because of the barefoot sole thickness. The ankle plugs also need to fit into the sole but they’re not as noticeable because you don’t place your full weight there. As they’re yard sale I can’t return them. I’m disappointed as I tried breaking them in on two occasions but unless I try to hack them and file down the thickness of the toe plugs I’m risking injury under the balls of my feet.
