The Achilles Armor is an optional accessory to your sandals, for when you need a little extra comfort and security in the heel area. Achilles Armor attaches directly to your back heel strap, giving you security and added comfort. Achilles Armor can easily be taken off of the sandals and put back on, so you have the option of using it when you need extra security, and going full minimal when you don't! Made from high quality aniline leather, Achilles Armor is pliable and will mold to your heel, creating a personal fit just for you.  Great for running, backpacking, or just hanging around!

Current color selection: 
Dark Brown: matches Supers, Classics, and Pacific Avenue Brown (top in photo)
Mahogany Brown: Reddish brown, close in color to cognac leather footbeds (middle in photo)
Black: Will blend in with Elite, Numa and Trailstar black lacing systems (not pictured)
 
Achilles Heel Armor is not compatible with the Cruzer lacing system.

Achilles saved my achilles!

I ordered the Achilles Armor for my second pair of Shamma sandals, the Elite Warriors. Due to multiple surgeries since I was 2, multiple sprains & breaks and now neuropathy, my feet get damaged easily. On the ankle that has pins and a plate, my achilles tendon was getting very sore from the sandal strap. I tried bandages and mole skin but not sustainable, nor really very helpful. This added piece of leather stopped that pain. Thank you!

Very comfortable, web page needs new images

These were the perfect upgrade to my sandals. I bought them for both my casual and running Shammas. My only gripe is I was not sure which color I was ordering, or what it was going to look like. I don't think I made the best pick to match with the leather foot bed of one of my pairs. A minor gripe, but it kept me from giving 5/5

Achilles Armor Pads Work

My experience with Shamma has been exceptional! I have been very happy with the sandals (6 pair and counting), power straps and the latest accessory - Achilles Armor. They offer exceptional customer service. My feet are recovering from neuropathy (pain and numbness) with the use of these sandals.
