Mountain Goats

Built tough for rugged terrain - The MG's sole is designed for rough, uneven surfaces like gravel, muddy trails, and mountain passes. While not as minimalist as the Chargers or Warriors, the MG’s are purpose built for stability. Great for hiking, with a bit more stack height and an aggressive tread.

Second, and favorite, pair of shammas

These are my trail shoes and I'm really happy with them. Great grip. Don't feel so luggy that they feel weird on harder surfaces (you know the ones I mean. The ones that aren't trails and more of sidewalks and roads?). I really really like them a lot. I ordered a half size up from my first pair of shammas. Not because my first pair didn't fit great, because they did, but because my feet have expanded from all the time I've spent in sandals

I am amazed at how comfortable these are!

My previous go to sandals were Chacos, but I had to give them up because the soles are too stiff causing problems with my foot. Never having worn a sandal with the strap between the toes, I was a little apprehensive. And the price seemed really high. From the moment I put them on my feet felt so free and happy. I am totally sold!

      Awesome sandals

These are awesome. Comfortable. Durable. The power strap keeps them secure. 10/10 recommend.

      Greatest footwear on earth

I feel strong and primal in my mountain goats. 5 pairs later, they are the greatest off road/ all purpose footwear I've ever had. Everything barefoot at all times; everything Shamma at all times. Thank yall

      Great for hiking

Great experience with the mountain goats. Had the warriors for a few years for the full “barefoot” experience but wanted a little thicker soles and grip for rougher terrain so got the mountain goats for a trip to Arizona. Wore them for a couple of 5 - 10 mile hikes through the desert near Sedona including up some pretty good rock faces and they performed really well. Great grip, flat, wide enough for my foot, relatively flexible sole. Looking forward to using them back home in NC - beach, mountains, walking the dogs, etc.

Thinking of transitioning to barefoot running?
