Super Legend

Connect with nature on a deeper level with the all-new Super Legend. Partnering with Ultra-marathon runner and Outdoor expert Matt Graham, we wanted to return the traditional roots of running and sandals. The Super Legends feature an all-new, completely leather sole. These all-natural soles remove rubber, composites, and synthetic materials, allowing you to be grounded directly to the Earth. Featuring the ultra-premium Super Lacing System, these natural sole sandals get you closer to nature with every step.

Sole

Legend sandals feature an all-new full leather sole. Measuring at 6mm, the veg tan leather soles will naturally mold exactly to your foot shape. Composed of all natural materials, you can be grounded directly to the earth. This thicker leather will also retain its general rigidity, so you don't have to worry bout your sandals losing their structure completely while moving. This allows the soles to shape and mold exactly to your feet, connecting you even closer to nature.

Super Lacing System

The Super Lacing system is an all-leather version of our venerable 4th Generation Shamma Lacing System. This system is packed with features that give you everything you need to get the right fit. Our original Shamma buckle allows for fine-tuning of the toe strap and insole strap. The leather insole keeps the heel strap in an optimal position. Velcro® on the insole and heel straps allow for quick and secure adjustments. The Super Lacing System gives you comfort, durability and style that only leather can provide.

Recraftable

Just because you wore a hole in your sandals, it doesn’t mean you have to throw them away! Our modular approach to sandal-making means that worn out parts can be replaced with a pair of pliers at home. Why throw away what you can repair? Visit our Parts Page to learn more!

All of our sandals are made right here in Santa Cruz, CA by our small team, using primarily US sourced materials along with high quality components from Italy, Germany, and other international partners. Love the grounding

They are very comfortable and I feel so much better walking on soles that allow grounding.

I hope the soles last well. Other grounding leather footwear I’ve had did not last long.

the unoriginal-and-not-even-funny one where you put a pin upright on a chair for your (unobservant) teacher to sit on. yeah that one. but for your feet.

shammas saved me from stepping on not one but 3 pushpins lying on the floor, which got firmly lodged into the sole of my foot right below the toe plug. didn’t feel a thing. unlike the time the same fate befell me when I was running barefoot in a field.

having an enamel pin lodged firmly into the ball of your foot is what I hope is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

after the breaking-in period inherent to any leather shoe, these truly feel like an extension of your bare foot. these bad boys seamlessly mold to the shape of your foot in a way only rivaled by these messi cleats I randomly got on clearance for $10 at sports basement like 5 years ago.

did a 6mi trail run in them a couple weeks ago, no blisters/discomfort whatsoever. on the other hand (foot?), did a 6 mi hike in chacos and that was straight agony starting on mile 3 or 4. blisters galore.

do what you want with that info.

I'd give it a 4.5. Small detail of the velco not adjusting to the same length on the heel between both feet. (My feet may be to blame, but I'm doubtful about an inche difference) Toe strap plug is a little thick and distracting.

Otherwise, great material and great ground feel after about a week of wear. Straps are comfortable. I order all my shoes in euro size and these fit true to size according to that metric.

the best if you hate wearing shoes

I love these so much. They’re so light and flexible that it feels like I’m not wearing any shoes. The backstrap can be a bit of a hassle if you don’t have prominent heels though. Really really recommend. They’re comfortable on grass, rocks, and even concrete. Love em
